1 1/4″ fittings are used with our E27 socket in order to make light fixtures and lamps out of plumbing pipes.

Thread type:
The thread is BSP (British Standard Pipe) Whitworth.
The female thread on standard screw-on fittings is BSPT (tapered); on decorative and designer screw-on fittings, it is BSPP (straight); and the male thread is BSPT (tapered) per DIN EN 10226, formerly ISO 7-1.
