PLASTIC PRIMARY Spray can
is ideal for sealing and preparing plastics for the effective application of colour.PLASTIC PRIMER helps adhesion, maximises coverage of other coatings, seals porous surfaces and reduces the risk of tearing and cracking.
Montana PLASTIC PRIMER Spray is a surface preparation agent which can be used on hard plastics such as: polyurethane (PUR), polystyrene (PS), polyamide (PA), modified polypropylene rubber (EPDM), acrylic butadiene styrene (ABS), glass fibre reinforced plastics (GfK), hard polyvinyl chloride (hard PVC).
Due to the varied chemical composition of plastics, we suggest that you try a non-visible area of your material to test compatibility.
You can apply any Montana-Cans colour spray, TECH or EFFECT on the PLASTIC PRIMER once it has dried and hardened.
Montana PLASTIC PRIMER will increase the intensity and longevity of coatings applied to it.
Curing time is 24 hours or more depending on ambient temperature and humidity levels.
Montana PLASTIC COATING is a transparent, semi-gloss coating based on Nitro-Combi, which provides a neutral color base for the application of any of the Montana GOLD color ranges, Montana BLACK or Montana WHITE.
Smooth and even application is effortless with the Montana FLAT JET Medium cap which is standard on the box. For variation in spray application, why not try the Montana FLAT JET WIDE, the FAT CAP GOLD/BLACK or one of the Montana LEVEL 1-3 caps. Due to the possible expansion and contraction of all plastics, for best results, remember to keep your plastic projects away from extreme weather conditions or temperature changes. Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust and oil before applying PLASTIC PRIMER.
Montana PLASTIC PRIMER Spray is not recommended for use with soft plastics.
APPLICATION: Apply the primer in several thin spray coats before the previous coat is completely dry, but with 1 or 2 minutes between each pass. Other coats may require a drying time of 24 hours or more depending on the substrate. Always test the spray on a non-visible area to check the compatibility of the lacquer or paint. For optimum durability, always store cans with the nozzle on.
