Type of thread::
The thread is BSP (British Standard Pipe) Whitworth.
The female thread on standard screw-on fittings is BSPT (tapered); on decorative and designer screw-on fittings, it is BSPP (straight); and the male thread is BSPT (tapered) per DIN EN 10226, formerly ISO 7-1.

Overall appearance is very good, aesthetics: Overall appearance is very good, aesthetics, etc. Practical use is much less convenient because the plastic socket screws into the metal bracket, causing the electrical wires to get tangled inside the tube. A different system is needed—one where the socket doesn’t screw in but simply clips into place, or requires a quarter-turn, or even a ring that screws in to allow the socket to rotate. The terminals also have a very small diameter, making it difficult to connect more than one wire to them, which is inconvenient when building a light fixture with multiple bulbs.

The problem you’re experiencing is related to the very nature of the product: these are genuine plumbing fittings that are screwed together using threads. That’s what gives them their sturdiness and authenticity, but it requires a proper installation method to prevent the cable from getting tangled. Here are two solutions:
1. Follow the assembly order (recommended method)
Start by wiring the socket, then screw it onto its metal bracket before assembling the tubes and fittings. At this stage, the cable is still loose and rotates with the socket without twisting. Next, thread the cable through the tubes and assemble your structure.
2. Pre-twist the cable in the opposite direction
If the structure is already assembled, twist the cable in the opposite direction of the screw thread, turning it as many times as necessary to secure the sleeve. As you screw it in, the cable untwists and straightens out inside the tube.
For a light fixture with multiple bulbs, the sockets must be wired in parallel. In this case, since the fixture is often assembled before the sockets are screwed in, we recommend using Method 2: pre-twist each wire in the opposite direction of the screw thread so that it straightens out once the socket is secured.
