Tubes are made of standard raw steel and can be sized from 30mm (3cm) to 1960mm (196cm).
They are not threaded at the ends and should therefore only be used with our direct connection not plumbing screw connections.
Medium series pipes are standard plumbing pipes, as they have thicker walls than light series pipes.
They can therefore be threaded to BSP standard and are also more robust.
Medium series black steel tube appearance
- Standard: Smooth, with a certain sheen as with unfinished steel. Depending on manufacture, the color can vary from light gray to black gray.
- Medium-gray shot-blastUniform shade close to "RAL7022" umber gray, with nuances and a slight texture that blends perfectly with the shade of the cast-iron direct fittings
Our black round steel tubes are manufactured to the following tolerances:

As they are raw steel, a film of oil protects them from corrosion during transport.
This oil film can be wiped off with a dry cloth to leave as is, or for a further finish use our metal cleaner or with any other degreasing agent (e.g. brake cleaner).
For protection against moisture, it is possible to apply a aerosol varnisha spray paint linseed oil or metal wax.
